Interact of Melton Mowbray

Interact of Melton Mowbray was founded in 2005 by the Rotary Club of Melton Mowbray and the Rotary Club Of Melton Mowbray Belvoir. We meet every Tuesday lunch time at King Edward VII School.

We have been involved in many projects raising money for various charities. Some members did a litter pick and raised over £1000. Another successful event was the cycle ride around Rutland water which we did for the charity Water Aid. It was fun for all and even managed to raise a smile when two members got lost around Oakham! We have been involved in other smaller events such as cake baking and charity collecting around Twinlakes on Bonfire night.

However it is not all about fund raising as we have social events, Christmas and summer parties. For example in October a group of seven interactors went to Germany on a twinning visit with Coesfeld. We all had an amazing time seeing how they lived and their culture, and their pretty cool sports cars! We all made new friends and learnt a word or two of German too.

Interact is mainly about making new friends and socialising with old ones, as well as having fun raising money for charities.
